SmartThings Pro: one dashboard for multiple buildings

In a single building, HVAC monitoring is usually handled locally. That changes when one team runs several sites: hotels, retail units, offices. The problem is no longer controlling a unit, it is visibility: what is running, what has faulted, how much is being consumed, without visiting each site.
SmartThings Pro is Samsung's cloud platform for that scenario. It collects operating and energy data from compatible equipment and shows it in one online dashboard, across multiple sites.
What matters technically
Remote monitoring: operating status, fault alerts, energy consumption and remote control, with automated actions triggered by schedule or condition.
3D floor-plan view: devices are controlled directly from the building layout, and the dashboard is customisable with widgets.
Data analysis: the platform uses pattern recognition to flag drops in network efficiency and alert the administrator.
Tariff-based control: the Pricing Response Control function adjusts temperature through pre-heating or pre-cooling when the energy tariff changes.
What we check before proposing it
Multi-site functions and device cycle monitoring depend on the licence type (Advanced).
Connection requires a Wi-Fi kit, a DMS/TCC controller or a SmartThings account, depending on the equipment.
Functions may change with software updates.
The client holds the licence, and users are approved by the site administrator.
How we see it: as a monitoring and control layer for Samsung equipment, which we assess within the building's automation architecture, alongside ventilation, hydronics and the other systems. We do not propose it everywhere. It makes sense where there are several sites and someone needs to see their status from one place.
